This tall, intense performer first came to my attention through his majestically powerful performance in John Singleton's brilliant Higher Learning. Rapaport has great talent for providing force and expression to characters dealing with tension and pressure. The red-headed young New Yorker had an impressive start to his career with a number of essential roles in the early 90's in films such as True Romance, Poetic Justice and Beautiful Girls. Although he hasn't been able to command the greatest variety of roles, Rapaport seldom performs below par and has maintained a potent career well into his thirties. He is one of the most capable character actors at present.
