Review

Meet the Parents is a noisy and exhausting comedy about highly familiar and interesting material; the first encounter with ones inlaws. It is a movie with a considerable amount of good points, and Robert De Niro is inspired and well-cast in the lead, but despite a number of laughs and a charming cast, Jay Roach's fast-paced directing proves insensitive and too brutal, and he wears out the audience long before the end.
