This little girl's favourite alternates somewhat clumsily between aspiring intellectualism and bubblegum fantasy, as Reese Witherspoon is the beautiful duckling at Harvard law.The idea is to toy with stereotypes and how they are perceived (especially in the US), but it's hard not to notice that the film substantiates these stereotypes just as much as it breaks them down. The result is mostly rather silly, but the film has a simple charm that will allure the daydreaming viewer and anyone who finds Reese Witherspoon attractive.
