Review

The films of Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer are not getting any better, unfortunately. The genius of their genre counterparts Zucker/Abrahams/Zucker has never been present in their films, but they have occasionally been worth lending an eye for a few moments. With Epic Movie the lack of thematic direction and intelligent humour has become more apparent than ever. This is simply a collection of imitations of episodes and characers from the films of recent years. There is no cutting edge or relevant criticiscm and there are no laughs to procure from the script. Crispin Glover delivers the only parody which isn't painfully awkward.
